About HGS Email Accounts

A Governor's School email account will no longer be created for each student. HGS instructors will communicate to their students via email using the student's home high school email address. If the student's school does not allow such email communication, only then will an HGS email account be created for the student.

If an HGS email account is created for you, then to access the email account, use the username and password entered into the ITS Registration form. (Also use the same username and password to access the HGS Virtual School.) Watch the short orientation video below to see how HGS email will work. (Students and HGS instructors will use the student's high school email for email communication. HGS email accounts for students are only created if a student's high school will not allow HGS communication through the student's high school email address.)

HGS email addresses are of the format username@hgs.k12.va.us.
