About The Instructor

Mandy Allen, B.S., M.S.

Mrs. Allen holds a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia. She also holds a M.S. in Human Biology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Mrs. Allen has many years experience teaching advanced placement chemistry, biology, anatomy, and environmental science at both public and private schools. Her professional affiliations include the Association of Science Teacher Education and the Virginia Association of Science Teachers. Mrs. Allen has received numerous awards and honors including Patrick Henry High School Teacher of the Year and placement in Who's Who Among Science Teachers. She has been nominated for Disney's American Teacher Award. Mrs. Allen has also managed a U.S. Department of Labor grant program, focusing on STEM education and related careers, which provided aid to junior and senior high school students whose academic career was disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic
